

The University's Office 365 licensing agreement for teaching faculty and staff/faculty in departments that have purchased the Microsoft Campus Agreement includes installation of Office 2016.

These installation privileges expire once you leave the University, so make sure to install Office 2016 from Pitt On The Hub on at least one system prior to graduation.

Pitt On the Hub also allows students to download licensed versions of earlier Microsoft Office versions (Office for Mac 2011 and Office 2013), as well as Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. The second download is included to act as a backup installation package in case the first download is deleted or damaged. Students are entitled to two downloads of the Office 2016 installer to support a single installation on a Windows or Macintosh PC. Pitt students have the option to download and install Office 2016 from the Pitt On The Hub online store. These installation privileges expire once you leave the University. At which point, you will have the option to purchase an Office 365 ProPlus subscription to keep the Office 2016 applications running. If you leave the University or graduate, they will no longer function. These Office 2016 installations will be fully functional as long as you are a student. You can install Office 2016 in this fashion on up to five different Windows or Macintosh desktop or laptop systems. Access this page by logging into the Office 365 environment or clicking on the University of Pittsburgh logo at the top of all Office 365 pages–including Pitt Email (Outlook). Under the University's Office 365 licensing agreement, students can download and install Office 2016 from the Office 365 environment by clicking on the Install Office 2016 link on the default Office 365 homepage.
